Osteopathy
'The body is a unit'. This is a fundamental Osteopathic principle.
Osteopathy is not a modality but rather a system of healthcare. It considers the ''whole body'' and focuses on preventative care. Utilising a highly developed sense of touch
called palpation and an extensive knowledge of anatomy, Osteopaths can identify problems areas in your body. Treatment is then tailored to the individual and consists
of a variety of manual techniques including structural, cranial & visceral approaches.
To appreciate why Osteopathic treatment can achieve relief for a wide range of pain presentations it helps to consider that the musculo-skeletal system is the body’s largest system. It consists of many tissues including bones, joints, muscles, fascia & ligaments. This system uses the largest amount of energy in the body and plays a vital role in our overall health and well being.
When restrictions exist in our bodies tissues, posture becomes less efficient and can contibute to poor function. When our bodies are in harmony and balance, our posture requires minimum effort and energy leaving more energy available to achieve our other systems needs including digestion and repair.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is one of the main treatment therapies of Chinese Medicine. It involves the insertion of very fine sterilised disposable needles into specific points along the energy channels of the body. These openings along the channels directly influence the flow of Qi and as a result gradually restore the person to a more natural and balanced state of health.
Acupuncture treatment is uniquely tailored to each individual, selection of the meridian points to use is dependant on the individual and his/her presenting condition. It aims to treat the root cause of the problem not just the symptoms.

Holistic Massage
One of the oldest and most recognised practices in healthcare is Massage Therapy. Massage Therapy is the 'ancient-established art of healing by touch'. It involves a skilled practitioner using different manipulative techniques to move the body's muscles and soft tissue.
There are over 80 different styles of Massage practised across the world. While massage is best known for its ability to provide deep relaxation it is also an effective way to reduce or eliminate the effects of stress in the body. Tight muscles can predispose the body to strain. Massage techniques improve blood circulation and increase the flow of nutrients to the bodies muscles allowing the muscles to repair and relax.

Reflexology
Reflexology is a complementary therapy, in which pressure and massage-like techniques are applied to the feet or hands to affect the whole body. This helps to heal the whole person, not just the prevailing symptoms and encourages the body to work naturally to restore its own health balance.
Reflexology works by helping the body to relax completely. In this relaxed state the body is best able to renew and repair. Clients find that the benefits last long after they have left the therapy room. Studies show that reflexology has been shown to be effective for:
constipation, IBS; menopausal or PMT symptoms; sleep disorders; migraine, arthritis, mood swings, irritability and low energy levels to name but a few, and is suitable for all ages.
